Using the body as a theatre, I create unexpected links between games and poetry, stories or history to revisit traditional skills with popular imagery.

This blend of mixed materials:  precious/ no-precious, hard/ flexible, form/ content, develops a new reading and a new story where each piece reveal its poetic and aesthetic dimension.

 

-I’m putting on my camelote- were my French grand-mother’s words when she was wearing her jewelry - a competitive mix between fake and real gold.

In French, camelote means rubbish, In English Camelot is the idealist city of King Arthur.

Think during an exchange at the RCA in London, Camelot’e is playing with words as its plays with materials.

A simple acrylic thread- hand knitted- is partly covered by silver or gold-

In order to create a match between complicate handcraft and precious metal.

 

身体を舞台にすることで、私はゲームと詩、物語と歴史の思いも掛けないつながりを創り出し、既存の伝統技術を再考する。

プレシャスとノンプレシャス、硬さと柔軟性、フォルムとコンテンツ。

素材のブレンドにより、詩的で美しい形状の新たな読み方と物語を明らかにする。

 

「私はキャメロットを着けている」これはジュエリーを身にした時の、フランス人の祖母の言葉です。本物と偽物のせめぎ合い。フランス語ではキャメロットは塵を表します。英語では、キャメロットはアーサー王の理想の街。

ＲＣＡ、英国王立美術大学に在籍していた頃、キャメロットは一種の言葉遊び、材料遊びのテーマとなっていました。この作品では、プレシャスな素材を複雑に造形するために、部分的に銀や金で覆われた手編みのシンプルなアクリル紐を使用しています。
