There's a picture.

It could be a casual daily landscape, a favorite landscape or an old photograph.

Restricting it within the bounds of a frame can but bring to the surface sensations, suggestions, and ancient memories. To enter the photograph and go beyond it, stimulating the imagination.

 

To create a boundary with the frame limits the subject of the photograph to its own small world where you feel protected and at ease, feelings that endure in time, with those precious memories, even after many years.

 

ここに一枚の写真がある。

それは何気ない日常風景かもしれないし、お気に入りの景観や昔の古い写真かもしれない。

でもそこに四角、丸、楕円等の枠をつける事によって限定された空間となり、そこに見る人の

記憶、感情、印象が加わり、平面的な表側だけではない、より深い内部の情景へと視線を誘う。

 

額縁を付けるという行為は大切な物事の居場所を作り、いつでも思い出せるように綺麗に装飾し、

守り、存在を強調する。

何年経っても色あせない大切な記憶と共に。
