「ジュエリーとは、個人と社会を結びつけるコミュニケーションツール」をコンセプトに、コンテンポラリージュエリーに関する様々な企画をオーガナイズするグループ ORIZZONTI(オリゾンティ) は11月18（月）～11月23日（土）、横浜にて展覧会を行います。

 

この展覧会は横浜からスタートし、台北（台湾）、金沢（日本）、アテネ(ギリシャ)を巡回いたします。

 

本展“CURRENT2013”では、70～80年代生まれの国籍もバックグラウンドも違うアーティスト達が、"この世界はどこへ行くのか？"という根源的な問いを軸に、それぞれの"今"を独自の視点で切り取りジュエリーに託します。

 

コンテンポラリージュエリーは、宝石・貴金属を用いた従来のジュエリーのイメージに縛られない、素材もテーマも自由な立体造形であり、身体をキャンバスにしたアート表現です。

 

ORIZZONTIは、今回の展覧会開催にあたり、参加作家全員にジュエリーのコンセプトを表現する1分間の映像作品を依頼しました。映像作品は、会場で投影するほか、” YouTube”や”Facebook”を通して世界中に発信されます。

 

 

Contemporary jewellery artists, with different backgrounds,from many countries came together to think about the basic question: “where is the world going?”

We chose the name of the exhibition, CURRENT, to mean not only the flow of ideas but also what’s happening in the world now.

Both those concepts are intended to be expressed through jewellery.
